Ray Wood was the esteemed owner and operator of Comfort Air of New Bern, Inc., which he proudly established on March 1, 1969.
Holding one of the oldest refrigeration licenses in the state, Mr. Wood was known for his hard work, dedication to his craft, and deep commitment to his customers. Beyond his professional achievements, he made significant contributions to his industry and community, serving on the NC Heat Pump Standards Advisory Board, the Craven County Board of Elections, Civitan’s, and the Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Wood also proudly served in the US Army, further demonstrating his dedication to service.
